BELOW ARE PICTURES OF THE ACTUAL PROPERTY WHERE THE CITY PLANS TO BUILD THE ANIMAL CAMPUS, INCLUDING A PET ADOPTION FACILITY.
Below are some of the pictures that I took of the site. It is right on a bayou that is filled with trash. There is also a sewage treatment plant on the property. This little fact has been conveniently left off maps that COH and the Parks Dept has created. But, the sewage treatment facility will be within yards of the pet adoption facility.
I also saw several Herons while I was out there and could hear birds in one of the nests. To me it is unconscionable to destroy the nesting ground of these protected birds.

This is a map that the city of Houston has created. Unfortunately, they neglected to show some very important details. I have noted some on their map.
Please send a letter to the mayor and city council asking them to reconsider the location for the planned adoption facility on Wayside.
